Concrete Slab & Foundation Work

Your building is only as good as its foundation.

Commercial concrete slab and foundation installation in Hurricane, UT

Why Foundation Quality Matters

A concrete slab is the base for everything you build on top of it. Whether you are adding a garage, shed, workshop, or new home, that foundation needs to be perfectly level and strong enough to support the structure for decades. Cutting corners here leads to expensive problems later like cracks, settling, and structural damage.

We have seen plenty of foundation problems caused by poor soil preparation, inadequate reinforcement, or rushing the curing process. These issues show up months or years later when repairs cost far more than doing it right the first time. That is why we take our time with every step, from soil testing to final finishing.

Here in Hurricane, UT, our soil and climate require specific techniques. We understand local building codes and soil conditions. Your foundation will meet or exceed all requirements, giving you peace of mind that your building sits on solid ground.

Foundation Services We Provide

We handle all types of concrete slab and foundation work for residential and commercial projects:

  • New Home Foundations: Complete foundation systems for ground-up construction
  • Garage Slabs: Level, properly graded slabs for attached or detached garages
  • Shop and Barn Floors: Heavy-duty slabs for equipment and storage buildings
  • Shed Foundations: Small to large pad foundations for outdoor structures
  • Commercial Buildings: Large-scale foundation work for retail, office, and industrial buildings

Each project gets a custom approach based on soil conditions, building size, and intended use. We do not use cookie-cutter methods. Your foundation is engineered for your specific needs.

Our Foundation Installation Process

Site Evaluation and Preparation

Before any digging, we evaluate your site. Soil type, drainage patterns, and elevation all affect how we build your foundation. We may order soil tests for larger projects to ensure proper bearing capacity. Then we excavate to the required depth, removing organic material and unstable soil.

Grading and Base Installation

Proper grading is critical. Water must drain away from the foundation, not pool against it. We install a compacted gravel base that prevents settling and provides good drainage. This base gets compacted in layers using heavy equipment, not just dumped and spread.

Forms, Reinforcement, and Pour

We build strong forms to contain the concrete and ensure straight edges. Steel rebar is placed according to engineering specs, typically in a grid pattern for maximum strength. Vapor barriers go down to prevent moisture intrusion. Then we pour and finish the concrete, paying close attention to proper slope and drainage.

Curing takes time. We keep the concrete moist and protected while it gains strength. Rushing this step causes weak concrete and future cracking problems. Most slabs are ready for framing in 7 to 10 days, though full strength takes 28 days.
